Lehigh Valley Magic Soccer Club

It’s that time of year.  The fields are thawing out.  The clock is springing forward.  Basketball is winding down.  It’s time to begin the spring soccer season.

 

My plan is to start the season with practice from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM.  As the daylight hours extend, we’ll move the training sessions later.

 

I am happy to report that David Korn, Lafayette College Men’s Team Assistant Coach, will be providing training for the team again this spring.  He will be taking the first session on Monday.  If you cannot make it please let me know.  The schedule for March is listed below.

This season league games will likely be scheduled on Sunday afternoon.  Schedule is not available yet.  In addition to the league games we will play in the Spring Challenge Cup, as we have done the past two seasons.  This will involve travel for a weekend game or two in April and possibly May.  I also plan to enter the team in two tournaments, tentatively Shoot for the Cure in Lansdale PA on May 17 and 18 and the LVYSL Tournament in Allentown on June 14 and 15.  These are the same two tournaments we played last spring and we will be defending our title at the LVYSL Tournament.

Finally, I want to request your participation at noon on Sunday, 3/9, to set up the soccer fields.  Representatives from all LV Magic teams will be chipping in.  The more folks available the quicker this will go.  In previous years we have been able to complete the process in little more than an hour.  All are encouraged to join in.  No special skills are required.
